School Uniforms

Indications from across the world and over the last couple of years in Cornerstone International Academy (C.I.A), clearly show that there is a close union between children wearing school uniform and what they achieve in their personal and academic pursuits.

At C.I.A., we consider wearing the prescribed school uniform as an important influence in promoting discipline, inclusivity and a school identity. We believe our uniform code should complement our rigorous IB program. We are preparing our students for success in higher education and beyond. Therefore, we want our students to have a proper expectation of professionalism. With the prescribed uniform on, our students get to represent the academy’s ideals, with the very high personal respect they show towards themselves, and the school in the way they wear and value the school uniform.

BOYS

The uniform code states that boys are required to wear the school’s crested white shirt with its navy blue shorts from Monday to Wednesday and its crested sky blue, red, baby yellow, navy blue or bent orange polo shirt with the navy blue shorts for Thursday and Friday. The prescribed footwear is black leather shoes (not tennis shoes/sneakers) with black laces worn with white or navy blue socks.

GIRLS

Girls are required to wear the school’s crested white shirt with its navy blue or plaid skirt or skort from Monday to Wednesday and the school crested sky blue, red, baby yellow, navy blue or bent orange polo shirt with navy blue or plaid skirt or skort for Thursday and Friday. Plain black shoes, with a buckle/velcro or black and white Oxford shoes should be worn with white or navy blue socks.
